A description of the work of Dr. Mori Bank and his free dental clinic run under the auspices of the Hazon Yeshaya Soup Kitchens in Israel. See www.hazonyeshaya.org Hazon Yeshaya now provides free dental clinics for underprivileged children and adults whose teeth would otherwise not be treated by a dentist. It was discovered that people in Israel were losing their teeth at an unprecedented rate simply because they could not afford simple dentistry. In Israel dentistry is not covered by insurance. Private tretment is very expensive. To make sure no one finds themselves in such a calamitous situation, the free dental clinics were established with the services of top dentists who have agreed to volunteer part of their services to all who come to our humanitarian facilities. All areas of dentistry including specialized services are offered. These include endodontics, maxillo-facial and oral surgery including implants, crowns and bridges, prosthodontics, periodontal therapy and surgery, oral hygiene programs, fixed and removable precision dentures and orthodontic treatment. All this is performed by general dentists and specialist dental volunteers. Hazon Yeshaya seeks to provide relief for all those who continue to suffer from the pain and indignity of poverty.

In the United States, it is illegal for a person who is not a dentist to open and own a dental office. Places like Aspendental actually have a dentist who is the corporate majority shareholder.
If you want to help your girlfriend, you should invest your money and let it grow while she is in dental school, and go work for a dental office as a front-desk person, so you can learn how to deal with insurance, billing and office management.
After she finishes dental school, you can help her open an office and help run the place as the office manager (but she as the dentist must be the owner).

Well, I live in Chicago. I found a dentist in a low income area and I think I paid about $130 for my filling but it depends on how much work needs to be done. Hope it goes well.
